Some of the activities we did this week!

We made "L" Lion pocket games.- The kids practiced cutting out the lion face and paws. The pictures in the pocket are all "L" words. Ask your child to name them for you!

During Centers we wrote the letter "L." Using Handwriting without Tears, we learned it just takes one "big stick" and one "small stick" to make the capital letter "L."

We used objects hidden in the rice bin to make the letter "L," we learned about words that start with "L," and we practiced the days of the week!

We also learned how to hold our scissors and practiced cutting!

Happy New Year!!!

Just a few reminders:

The Playground Committee is getting started with the "Playground Improvement Plan!" We are hoping that there will be some work done soon and that the Natural Playscape will soon be completed! If anyone is interested in volunteering their time to help with some of the projects, please let us know.

A child that attends the church has an allergy to peanut butter. Please substitute with almond butter if you are able. If you need to bring peanut butter, please just let us know so that we can remind the kids to wash their hands well after eating it :) Thanks!!!

We provide the children with healthy snacks in the afternoon.  We choose organic fruits, vegetables, and crackers whenever possible.  We also appreciate learning what your child prefers for snacks- ideas are welcome!
